Report from Sept. 2010 WAR meeting.                                                   October 2, 2010

Willie Snow (President) will approach CSM (ret) Mike Kelso and Gary Carpenter in hopes of establishing a workable Board of Governors able to benefit our mission to the Regiment and RTB.

The requirement of the bylaws as it applies to voting and nominations are deemed outdated and should be changed to: Nominations must be in 90 days prior to election. Ballots will be open 45 days prior to election.

i.e.; Vice President Nominations will need to be in by Feb. 2011 or 90 days prior to Best Ranger Competition or as designated by the Executive Committee of WAR.

This was voted on by attending members and pasted.

Associate Organizations were discussed. It was agreed that any member of an associate organization can join WAR however they must pay full dues. Also a National Board meeting should be convened to discuss topics effecting the alignment of these organizations with reference to WAR. Further discussion was tabled until such meeting.

Tres. Report: WAR in conjunction with Ranger Joe’s donated $2000.00 to 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment for the purpose of upgrading their Memorial on Ft. Benning.

$474.73 was paid for supplies to restore the UH1D helicopter that WAR has committed to support.

In order to raise funds Bill Spies suggested a hot dog sale, Willie Snow suggested a car wash. Nothing was agreed upon.

Corp. sponsors are needed. As of now Shuster Enterprises and Ranger Joe’s are our only one. However Home Depot, Lowes, Kohls, H.H.Greg will all give a 10% military discount if you ask for it.

Membership for Ranger Class Honor Grad Will be 5 years. Distinguished Honor Grad where it applies will receive a Lifetime membership to WAR. NCO/ Soldier of the year from each Battalion will receive gift certificates from Ranger Joe’s along with a Certificated of Achievement from WAR and a 2 year membership.  The Board of Governors should take responsibility for coordination of these honors.

CSM William Paul formerly 4th BN CSM is at The Warrior Training Center on Post and is doing great things with the facility and training program. Worth going out to see. CSM (ret) Burns from RTB is also there.

Respectfully Submitted; Bob Dawes
